Hey Everyone, After a small hiatus, I'm back. I'm going to be starting a few new series on the blog. The first of which is "Style Icon." I'm going to use this as a place to spotlight some of the gentlemen who have exhibited truly iconic style. These men are true idols, not only in wardrobe, but also in lifestyle, career and accomplishments. Up first... the great Nat King Cole. Miles Davis called it "cool," Jay-Z calls it "swagger." Whatever you choose to call it, The Man With The Velvet Voice had it.Not only was Cole a man with immeasurable style, he was one of the great musical talents in American history. His talent on piano was only surpassed by his own vocal ability. Whether singing in English ("Unforgettable," "L-O-V-E," "Mona Lisa") or in Spanish ("Quizas, Quizas, Quizas," "Ansiedad") he sounded incredible. In his career, he released 30 studio albums and was the first African-American to host his own television show, The Nat King Cole Show (NBC) in 1956.
